Oh! Jelly Bean! Thou sweet oval confection that is the main stay of Easter basket candies! Mmm-mmm! Parents will undoubtedly use more expensive chocolate bunnies and malted eggs as garnish, and utilize the jelly bean as filler to make the Easter basket look fuller. Though Easter only comes once a year, there are a myriad other ways to use jelly beans throughout all four seasons. Here are ten of our own ideas that may inspire you. 1) Jelly beans make the perfect wedding favors, especially gourmet types such as those made by Jelly Belly. It is far easier to match jelly beans to the colors of your wedding garments than to try and match them with the limited colors available in Jordan almonds.
3) Use jelly beans to decorate frosted cakes and cupcakes. With such a wide variety of colors, you have unlimited decorating choices. Jelly Beans are great for easy decorations, with little mess to clean up afterwards (unlike trying to mix multiple colors of frosting).
4) For an old-fashioned effect on your Christmas tree, you can create a garland by stringing red and green jelly beans along with popcorn. When the holidays have ended, as you pack away the decorations, eat the garland to stay strong.
5) When making gingerbread houses, jelly beans are fine for roof tiles and interior decorations.
Think beyond the categories of food; jelly beans are diverse!
6) Jelly beans can be used as a replacement for poker chips in penny ante poker. Compared to matchsticks, it's better to have jellybeans, since different colors can be assigned specific values.
7) Are you running low on bingo chips? Take a bag of jelly beans; they're perfect in size for the covering of squares whose numbers were announced.
8) Even when decorating flower vases, Martha Stewart would not hesitate to use jelly beans. Place one flower vase into a vase that is clear and a little larger; insert colorful jelly beans in the areas between the vases. You can create patterns with the various colors of jelly beans, and then add flowers and water to the vase in the middle.
9) Jelly beans as an artistic medium! The beans have been used in highly respected artwork. Experiment by creating your own work of art. A sturdy foam core board will provide a good base, and you can just glue your creation directly to it! 10) What five year old girl wouldn't love to have bracelets made with jelly beans, strung with nylon thread, as party favors for her birthday party. Clasps are sold at very reasonable prices at craft stores.
So that's it! Some crazy and creative ways to use jelly beans. If you plan to entertain yourself with these colorful confections, you can find them very easily throughout the year at candy stores on the internet.
